Intense purple colour, with aromas of strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and forest fruits. Shows elegant notes of vanilla spice acquired during the year the wine spends ageing in a mixture of French and American oak barrels; this complements the grapes natural spicy nature. In the mouth, it is well structured, intense and vibrant, with round, soft tannins, and a lingering and complex finish. The fermentation takes place in large vats lasting about four weeks; the grape skins are kept in close contact with the developing wine at this point to extract as much flavour as possible.
